Jewelry Shop - Guided Open Studio

Have you had a taste of jewelry making and want to push your skills further? This student focused class will provide a collaborative class environment where students can practice skills, receive design and tool consultation, and gain confidence to push your jewelry making further. Come with your own ideas, or just a willingness to learn, and learn at your own pace. This class is perfect for jewelry artists that already have some background knowledge but want to learn more.

• Work one-on-one with a Jewelry Shop mentor and share skills based on the project provided by the students.

Jewelry artists that want to learn more about the craft through a hands on and skill sharing experince. Students must be 18 years or older

• Design and tool consultation
• Skill practice and guidance
• The "hive mind" of Artisans Asylum!
• Some materials provided for structured skill share demonstrations
• Access to A2's Jewelry Shop and tools for the duration of the session

Jori Ward is an artist currently working in argenteum and silver, having started her jewelry making in 2018 at MetalWerx. She moved to MA in 1999 and has raised 3 children here. Her work draws on history, expression, symbology, craftsmanship, and color. Jori believes jewelry is one of the most expressive mediums to work in, and invites new jewelry artists to explore the possibilities!
