This class acts as a "tool test" and afterwards students may use this press independently. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of printmaking through color mixing and inking while learning about proper technical use of inks and mixing mediums. You will learn about ink transparency, viscosity. We will discuss your goals for the type of prints you are interested in making in our space. You will learn how to correctly and safely operate the press, including setting pressure, blanket use and cleaning. You will also go home with several colorful monoprints of your own.
